Katinka is originally from Hamar, but emigrated in the early 2000s to Trondheim to start a bachelor’s degree in European studies. She has several years of experience as a communications adviser behind her, and has lived in Brussels with her family since August 2022.
At the Trøndelag European Office, Katinka is responsible for the thematic area Society and challenges. She follows the areas of inclusive society, culture, education and health in EU’s programs closely, and is working group leader in the network ERRIN for the working group Cultural heritage and sustainable tourism.
In addition to a bachelor’s in European Studies, Katinka has a master’s degree in Globalization, a diploma in Communication Consulting and has completed the Certificat d’Etudes Européennes at Sciences Po in Strasbourg, France. She has worked as a Communications Advisor in, among others, the Research Center for Zero Emission Neighbourhoods in Smart Cities (FME ZEN) at NTNU and in two EU projects for sustainable neighborhood development, and speaks fluent French after several stays in France.
In her spare time, you can find her running in the Bois de la Cambre, in the park with her son Theo or in one of the many cafes in Brussels.
