Thor Axel is from Trondheim and holds a bachelor’s degree in History from NTNU and a master’s degree in International Relations from LUISS – Guido Carli in Rome. He wrote his master’s thesis on energy security in Europe, a topic he remains particularly interested in. During his studies, he also managed to fit in two exchange programs in Russia – first in Saint Petersburg and then in Moscow, and therefore speaks fluent Italian and some Russian. Thor Axel has work experience from NTNU and the restaurant industry.
In the office, Thor Axel is responsible for matters related to energy and mobility. This is a large thematic field within EU affairs, which means he is involved in a variety of projects and gets to utilize his international network in Brussels.
Outside of office hours, Thor Axel is mostly occupied with training, cooking, and many other activities.
