Jesper was born in Trondheim, but grew up in Børsa in the municipality of Skaun. After completing high school at Orkdal VGS, he moved to Germany to study – and has lived there ever since. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Philipps-Universität Marburg and a master’s degree with a specialization in political theory from Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, in addition to an exchange stay at Maynooth University in Ireland.

Jesper has previously been an intern at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Berlin and has journalism training from Nynorsk avissenter in Førde. He has written for the newspapers Dag og Tid, Firda and Avisa Gaula. In addition to his studies, Jesper has also been active in the student association ANSA, including as leader of the section in Germany.

Jesper is a big fan of the soccer clubs Rosenborg and Eintracht Frankfurt, and as a former barista, he enjoys visiting cafés with a good book in hand.
